Affordable, Fast & Reliable Pest Control

Why do we need termite protection?

Subterranean termites also called "white-ants" are a highly destructive timber pest, causing major structural timber damage to domestic and commercial buildings in Australia.   Recent industry surveys suggest that about one third of all unprotected properties are subject to attack by subterranean termites.  Subterranean termites can destroy the wall and roofing timbers of a home within 3 months of construction.  If you build a steel framed home you may think you are safe from termite attack, but you may not be, one of the most common area for termites to come in is through the cracks where the plumbing penetrations come up. So you may have a steel frame impervious to termite attack, but they can still get in and eat your vanity units, skirting boards, kitchen units, timber door frames, carpet grippers, and any other timber building elements in the home.

Pre Construction Termite Barriers

Current Australian Building Code standards stipulate that preventative measures against termite infestation must be incorporated during the construction of new buildings and additions to existing buildings - residential and commercial.
We recommend the installation of chemical barriers underneath concrete slabs as the most effective pre-construction treatment against termite infestation. The chemical barrier pre-treatments are sprayed prior to the concrete slab being poured.  This is a tried and tested termite barrier installation.
